Botanical cabana DRIVE

(SAN DIEGO, CA —- Thursday, March 21) Beauty Beyond Bars, in partnership with Botanical Cabana, a Black-owned small beauty business, donated over 100 hair care products to incarcerated youth at the San Diego Juvenile Detention Center. This marks Beauty Beyond Bars’ first sponsored donation drive, as Botanical Cabana generously provided 50 flexible hold texture defining creams, 25 firm hold edge controls, and 25 exhilarating scalp refreshments.

“Our experience donating to BBB was seamless and incredibly rewarding. When we first connected with Lea Nepomuceno, within the first few minutes of our conversation, we immediately knew that our values aligned and we initiated next steps on how Botanical Cabana could get involved,” said Ashley Plummer, CEO/Founder of Botanical Cabana.

“Moving forward, we plan to continue our partnership with BBB through ongoing donations to support their initiatives. We are committed to helping make a difference in the lives of these young individuals by providing them with access to hair care items that can aid in restoring a sense of familiarity within their self-care routines, while supporting the diverse needs of textured crowns.”
